Inspires anyone who reads it to never give up on a dream. Dreams can come true!

What makes a championship heart? Maybe it’s never giving up. Never looking for the easy way out. Exerting every effort and having a vision to succeed. And then, there’s accountability – taking full responsibility for your actions both in failure, as well as success. Never blaming others and never giving anyone anything other than your best . . . that is the heart that beats in a champion.

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING: WINNING WAYS, The Making of a Championship Heart, shows the excitement of the sport of profes-sional hockey and also conveys the spirit of the players. It is the spirit and heart of the team that is captured in these pages – and the quotes from the players, coaches and ownership tell the true story of success while the photos tie the great action into the emotions that make people winners not just in sports, but in life, as well. The traits and characteristics selected and highlighted in this book to emphasize the winning ways of a champion are also models for our everyday lives and show us that becoming a champion in whatever you do is a realistic goal for everyone.
